Parish leadership emerged in the form of a committed group involved in the Cursillo and other Church movements. It didn’t take long for a number of ministries to evolve in the active community, including strong religious education and music program. The parish also established a preschool.
Evangelization activities became the parish’s thrust in the 1980s and 1990s. This coincided with growth in the Hispanic community, and the involvement of Hispanic leaders in the ministries helped diversify the congregation and its outreach efforts.
The parish gave birth to other faith communities, including Saint John Neumann, Good Shepherd, and Our Lady of Lourdes.
